Law School Uses INSZoom Case Management Technology as Part of its Curriculum
September 11, 2007
San Ramon, CA: The use of technology solutions, such as INSZoom.com, a software provider for immigration lawyers and corporations, to organize and facilitate client cases has become normative practice in the real world of immigration. Law schools are now taking note of these technology solutions; one program in Chicago has incorporated INSZoom’s immigration case management software system into its curriculum.
“I’ve been using INSZoom as an integral part of my clinical education program at Chicago-Kent College of Law for several years,” said Matthew I. Bernstein, an assistant professor of clinical practice at Chicago-Kent College of Law. “With my ‘staff’ of students turning over several times a year, I needed a program that was intuitive, easy to learn and had a robust case management system so that I could track case progress.”
INSZoom gives Bernstein an effective way to manage and track the progress of the immigration cases he uses to train his students. “The way that lawyers practice immigration has changed immensely over the past decade,” said Umesh Vaidyamath, founder and C.E.O. of INSZoom. “By incorporating case management software into his teaching practices, Bernstein gives his students key insight into the way they will practice law once they graduate.”
The use of technology in their legal education program is a high priority at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Their course in Litigation Technology informs students how to use technology to enhance trial presentations and their Institute for Science, Law and Technology evaluates emerging technologies and their impact on society.
Immigration lawyers and corporations regularly use case management tools such as INSZoom to update immigration forms, manage their immigration cases and petitions, stay compliant with changing governmental regulations and stay abreast of deadlines and milestones. INSZoom is also an immigration software provider for universities throughout the U.S., including the University of Pittsburgh and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
