A highly respected Los Angeles-based immigration law firm with 65 immigration professionals and 17 immigration attorneys, Reeves & Associates is known worldwide for its exceptional commitment to their clients and the breadth and depth of its experience. The firm, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California, Las Vegas, Nevada and Manila, Philippines, has handled more than 20,000 immigration cases over the past 25 years for individuals, families, small businesses, universities and small and large corporations.

Over the past quarter century, Reeves & Associates has set the bar for excellence in the practice of immigration and INSZoom works closely with this peer-leader firm in ensuring their continued commitment to best practices in immigration law.

Reeves & Associates, up to 2007, was a long-time client of an alternate case management service provider. However, in 2006, the firm began looking closely at their case management needs and did an in-depth comparison analysis of their existing case management provider and INSZoom. After an arduous process, the firm found that INSZoom’s software solutions were much more robust, comprehensive and advantageous to the way the firm conducts their business. In 2007, the firm transferred all aspects of case management to INSZoom.

At the core of Reeves’ decision to choose INSZoom as their technology partner were limitations in their existing case management system that made their focus on excellence more difficult to reach. The firm wanted a solution that was truly comprehensive and a technology company that understood in detail the real-time ways that immigration law firms practice business. For example, the firm’s existing case management system’s method to provide detailed reminders of steps involved in clients’ cases was convoluted and hard to navigate. INSZoom’s focus on using technology to give our clients the clear and simple ability to manage every step and every process in each case enabled the firm to trust their software program to remind them of deadlines and compliance requirements. There was no need to watch over their software for upgrades to the system, government forms changes, service center dates or changes in priority dates. With INSZoom, all these things were built into the system with a distinct focus on usability.

Equally important to the firm was a software system that enabled them to practice law more efficiently by getting rid of redundant tasks. With their existing service provider, members of the firm regularly had to manage numerous requests from clients who needed reminders of their login credentials, appointment dates, case status updates and simple billing questions. In addition, the firm’s paralegals, with INSZoom, were able to enter essential client data to one master file and not have to repeatedly enter the same information in multiple documents. With INSZoom, all data entered on a master file is automatically populated in every relevant file in the database.

Finally, INSZoom’s case management solution enabled Reeves & Associates to truly tap into technology, by automating a number of tasks and processes that the firm formerly had to conduct manually. With the firm’s existing case management service provider, essential information such as family relationship and gender were not able to be digitally entered; members of the firm regularly had to ask clients how they were related to clients on file and, in many instances, were forced to seek identification of clients’ gender. In addition, attorneys, with their existing case management software, were required to manually log time spent on cases billed at hourly rates. With INSZoom’s Case Timer tool, all information about the case is recorded and tracked digitally.

By increasing efficiency and effectiveness and being able to tap into INSZoom’s server systems, Reeves & Associates was able to increase their productivity and, at the same time, reduce their technical and administrative costs. Their associates were able to focus more on the issues that truly mattered to them – higher-level project management and more focused and positive customer service.
